March 24, Kathmandu: The Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Kathmandu road section is reopening for traffic from Wednesday.
It has been closed for the past two months for maintenance and blacktopping.
A budget of 180 million Rupees was allocated for the maintenance and blacktopping of the 8-km road from Bhimphedi to Deurali Bhanjyang while 160 million Rupees was allocated for the 7.5-km section from Deurali to Kulekhani.
Director of Bagmati Province Transport Infrastructure Directorate Dr. Sahadev Bhandari said the road stretching from Bhimphedi to Hevychaur had been expanded as part of the project.
He added that works had been progressing in widening the road from Sisneri to Dakchhinkali of Kathmandu.
