Kathmandu, May 10: The District Covid-19 Crisis Management Centre has recommended to extend prohibitory period for 15 more days in Kathmandu.
Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli, said that a meeting of the chief district officers of Kathmandu valley in presence of chiefs of security bodies from the three districts scheduled on Tuesday would take necessary decision on this matter.
Parajuli shared that it was necessary to extend the prohibitory period as the Kathmandu Valley has been badly affected from the massive spread of Covid-19 cases across the country in the recent period.
Earlier, prohibitory order was imposed in the Kathmandu Valley for a week to be effective from April 29 and later it was extended for another one week.
Preparations have been made to extend the prohibitory period again as the prohibitory order is going to be expire from May 12 midnight.
The Kathmandu Valley has been recording around 4,000 Covid-19 cases daily in recent period.
