CPN-UML Standing Committee suggests government to leave no stone unturned to save people’s lives from Covid-19

Kathmandu, May 20: The Standing Committee meeting of the CPN-UML has suggested the government to leave no stone unturned for saving lives of people amidst Covid-19 pandemic.

Party Spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Gyawali said in the meeting held at Baluwatar on Thursday, Party Chair and PM KP Sharma Oli briefed about the efforts led by the government for controlling covid-19 pandemic and present situation of the pandemic.

Spokesperson Gyawali further said the meeting has upheld the government efforts against covid-19 pandemic and suggested the government seek international support in managing medicines and oxygen and prepare necessary legal provision to fight the pandemic.

Reviewing the by-election held for a post of National Assembly member in Bagamati province today, the meeting condemned the trend of voting against the party’s candidate breaching the party’s directive.
