Nepali envoy to Pakistan Adhikari and upper house leader Dr Waseem discuss bilateral issues

May 28, Kathmandu: Nepal’s ambassador to Pakistan Tapas Adhikari on Friday held talks with the ruling party’s leader in the upper house of the Pakistani parliament, Dr Shahzad Waseem regarding contemporary bilateral issues.

During the meeting, the duo discussed the matters related to Nepal-Pakistan relations, SAARC and regional cooperation, and ways to further strengthen SAARC, according to the Pakistani embassy in Kathmandu.

Similarly, ambassador Adhikari also held a meeting with parliamentarian Sardar Muhammad Israr Tareen.

Tareen is the convener of the Pakistan-Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Pakistani parliament, which has 106 members.

During the meeting on Friday, they discussed the matters related to Nepal-Pakistan bilateral relations, cooperation between the two parliaments, bilateral trade, investment, tourism, cultural cooperation and bilateral exchanges between two countries to further strengthen the relations.
